Writing a - Readers Letter - that Actually Got PublishedIn the Big (Glossy) Magazine FHM !

Thanks for Visting our Blog once more...,

In Today's Post I Share With you one of the

Easiest Ways to Get Published !

One of the way's to get your writing published is by writing 'Readers Letters',

for the 'Prize Letter' section you can discover in many (Glossy) Magazines.

Many Magazines have something like a 'Prize Letter', 'Star-Letter' or something like that, where you can write your own Readers Letter, Basically writing a letter,

 (Somewhat Similar Like Writing Comments

or Replies to (our;)) Blog Posts)

Usually writing something that shows that you read the Magazine, or that shows

that you are a regular reader and give Inspiring & Interesting

Readers Feedback !

(BTW something similar that I also would like to see from

- YOU - Reading this

by

or for Example on our

Tweets, or YouTube VIDEOS !

Some Other Fundamental Building Blocks for Developing My Writing....

As you as a Regular Reader will know, I like Write about Good Writing and like to Spin my 'Writing Engine' with my Frequent Journaling...., also on this Blog Continue Probing in to some of my (Writing) Origing Stories, and today I realised that those first Steps on the Path of Writing also involved getting Writing Project Assignments I got as a High School Student. Remembering that with those works I could really Show my (Cartoon) Drawing Skills, and Oh Yeah, I also needed to do some Writing and somehow give it some Structure, make it readable, that way writing Some of my first 'Smashing Works' like: - Trees* in the Forrest - Rabbits* in the Forrest  * (Still also like to Put them In Our Designs as you can See!) and one about AirBrushing (a special Technique for applying Ink/Paint to Paper) making it possible to create almost Photographic Real Looking Artworks ! (or give Color to Cartoon Drawings in an Impressive Way !)

I also regualrly Wrote for 'Get Lucky Assignments', and

I also Wrote in a Yought Magazine, about the News, and Reports about Activities.

In a Way I Still Do, Writing about Activities

like for example our

Travel Adventures and Writing About

Art Forms like: MOVIES, MUSIC, Photography,
and our for example our Hiking Adventures...,

I do think at First mainly Raportage-Style Writing,
and later also looked into all kinds of other way's of Writing aswell.

Thinking About Some of The Writers Inspiration I Got from Comic Book Writers.....,

As you know I am Journaling  almost every day.....,  and to Continue with Exploring my (Writers) Origin Stories, Recently I Wrote about my (Writers) Origing Stories, in a Blogpost Titled: A Fun Way To Work on Luck.... And Now I realise that (Besides the Search for Luck) there also are some other Influences that help shape my writing. for example (Besides SF Writer Ray Bradbury) I do think that I must also have been given some Inspiration for writing by Comic Book Writers. Like for example René Goscinny writer from Asterix and Hergé from Kuifje (Tintin) and obviously Willy van der Steen from Suske & Wiske. (Spike and Suzy (UK) or Willy and Wanda (VS)) with those great 'Story Formats' with a Professor with a Time-Machine ! That's somewhat like Just as with for example Star trek  Exploring Worlds, and also with other Science Fiction ! Also Discover Science Fiction On our MOVIE-Blog ! (A Genre that I like)

I also created all kinds of  Cartoon Characters  (you can now discover as Designs on Products in our Webstore(s))  also for example a Dog Cartoon  with the Idea to Possibly one day make something like Comic Books myself someday! Only to actually make Comeplete Story Books, Seemed to be somewhat to Complicated to achieve at that time. (also Needing to Invest Time & Money in Producing Comic Strips, getting accepted by Publishers, Publishing actual Comic Books  etc. etc.)  So I mainly aimed at just making 1-page stories, Gag-Strips, or funny One Image Cartoons, instead, I Now Do My Own - (Online) Publishing - as You Can See ! 👀 (On Multiple Pages !)  You can See  Several of my Cartoon Drawings,  Cartoon Characters  for - ON - Products I Created   in our Webstore(s) at this Very Moment !  Sitting Dog Cartoon Customizable Sketch Notebook by EdelhertDesignStudio

Finches in the Field, (Our Hiking Adventures Are Stories Too....)

In one of our Hiking Adventures, one of Our Nature Walks in Winter,  we Walked past this Field, at first hardly noticing anything! than  while talking in a Conversation, I mentioned  that I would like  to have some Coffee !  Saying it a little Louder than the rest of the conversation.....,  Than Suddenly seemingly out of nowhere we saw fly up out of the Field  about 30 - 50 Finches !  I must have Scared away most of them already, you do however see  a few of them in sitting, and Flying around in this Video......,

As you could read about in a Previous post titled:

Thinking About Some of The Writers Inspiration I Got from

Comic Book Writers.....,

I also created all kinds of

Cartoon Characters
(you can now discover as Designs on Products
in our Webstore(s))

also for example a Dog Cartoon
with the Idea to Possibly one day make something like Comic Books myself someday! Only to actually make Comeplete Story Books, Seemed

(also Needing to Invest Time & Money in Producing
Comic Strips, getting accepted by Publishers, Publishing

actual Comic Books  etc. etc.)

So I mainly aimed at just making 1-page stories,
Gag-Strips, or funny
One Image Cartoons, instead,

I Discovered that there are Several Comics Artists that Work for Studio's, Like for example the Well Known Dutch (Comics) Artist Jan Kruis who was such an Example, and worked for the Toonder  Studio's Many years ago I had the privilege to meet him at 'The Strip 3-Daagse' in Breda, (the Netherlands) I also have an Original (Cat) Drawing that I got from him !

Studio Jan Kruis Continued his Work ! In this Video you also See a Special - Studio Jan Kruis - Booth in an Area at the - Libelle Week - Event ! (Libelle/Dragonfly)

While at the Moment I still aren't Publishing things like Comic Books or Animations,

I do Write about  Animations on our MOVIE-Blog !

However I Now (also) have my own Design Studio, and I Nowaday's  Do My Own

Stories about Naturereserve (De Boschplaat) On the Island Terschelling

Yesterday I was just Journaling a little and Reading a Magazine,

where I discovered an interesting Story about a Naturereserve (De Boschplaat)

on one of our Dutch Islands (Terschelling), a Naturereserve  with also the First Dark Sky Park...., (I expect it to be a Place where You can see the Night Sky  (and Possibly Occasional  Nothern Lights)  with No (or Less)  Light Pollution...?) I read a Story about a - Bachcomber Girl -,  a Scavanger of Stories. (Sounds Intersting we also  Occasionally have Stories During  our own (Evening) Walks, like  in our Post titled:  I Believe I Just Heared the Owls Again)

During (Evening) Walks telling Stories about Myths & Legends,  about things like Drowned people, Sea Disasters, and Heroic Resques,  mixed with interesting info about the Islands Nature Areas, and 'Het WAD',   and Making Books in a Story Attelier.  You can discover more on  www.eilandmeisje.nl Inspired by Nature Wouter, Thanks for Sharing; always great to see !#noorderlicht #NaturePhotographer https://t.co/svfuarYOfW — Edelhertdesignstudio (@dvanduuren1) March 21, 2026

Special Times, Special Worlds Where Stories Take Place....,

To Continue my Post(s) about my (Writers) Origin Stories; Thinking About Some of The Writers Inspiration I Got from Comic Book Writers, and A Fun Way To Work On Luck....., Besides Story Elements like a Professor with a Time Machine, also reveal my facination for 'Special Times, Special Worlds' where the Stories take place. There are lot's of Comic Stips I like that play in such Special Worlds, also Like for Example with a Character like Guust Flater ('Guust Blunder') working in an Office Space. (Talking about Blunders in Office Spaces, I had a Blunder in an Office Space that I wrote about on our Music Blog....,)

Special Worlds, Special Places...,  Like for Example an Indiana Jones Like (Misty) 'Jungle'...., I Photographed Our own Back Yard in a way that has a Somewhat of an; 'The Adventure Starts here -, 'Indiana Jones Jungle Feel' to it don't you think...? Good - Cloudy/Misty/Sunny - Morning Have a Nice Day ! #goedemorgen #goedemorgenNederland #KNMI #Weatherupdate #WeatherNews #Cloudy #Misty #Sunny #CoffeeTime #Mooie #Gardenlife #Tuintweet #Goodmorning #Fijnedag #Haveaniceday #trees pic.twitter.com/d0EK2qqrNi — Edelhertdesignstudio (@dvanduuren1) April 11, 2025   Or  an Office Space ! Also Discover Our Seagulls Video on our  MOVIE-Blog ! ! ! Also Discover MOVIE-Trailers on our MOVIE-Blog ! ! !

And while I am not that familiar with Webstrips  It also might explain the Success of  Webstrips like Dilbert, or  perhaps  www.pvponline.com,  and Fokke en Sukke and also  Gaston / Guust Flater ! Possibly because Office Spaces are typical Places that many people are familiar with. Nature Inspired  Business Gifts Collection by EdelhertDesignStudio
