Your Blog as a
'Self-reliant House'
Sometimes it can be a challenge to find
good ideas with interesting topics to write about,
Topics that you as a reader
enjoy reading,
Ideas that are as Fresh
As a - Fresh - 'Cup' of coffee,
So I just looked at some of the 'Trending Topics'
and besides Justin & Selina...,
I read about Tom Bender being somebody that seems to
have to do with Green Economics, and
the 'Self-reliant House'
Because of that it made me realize that
In a book about Blog Design I once
read about how you can view a blog
as a House...., and thought
That in a certain way you can
view a Blog somewhat as
a 'Self-reliant House'
That can help provide a ongoing constantly
developing Starting Point & Platform
that can give your Inspiration.
And that that way
you can Discover Blogging
as an
Exciting (Self-reliant) - Platform -
to Work From
Finding a Self-Reliant
Source of Inspiration
for - Crispy Fresh -
New Blogposts:
Possibly getting yourself a Cup of
Coffee or perhaps
The sound of the 'Huffing & Puffing'
of a
Strong Espresso
Can help you to get you started,
and how about the smell?
'Nothing can top the smell & taste
of a freshly made brew in the morning,
don't you think?'
Or how about looking at an
Inspirational Video ....?
As a (Blog) Writer you are constantly
looking for Inspiration & new Ideas
to write
Posts that Help You
Answer Your Questions.
Chances are that you can already find
Your Questions already
Answered in the
FAQ-List
That's the great thing about Blogging
Because since with a blog
you build up an
Archive of interesting Content
you already done research for.
A great place to delve into,
and search for just those 'Blogpost Gems'
with topics you enjoy reading the most.
So you usually don't have to totally
Re-invent the Wheel,
making it possible to
Build on
Previously Written Posts
Like for example Question Answering Posts
you can find on the
FAQ-Page
It's even possibly to already get an
idea about how popular the topic you
want to write about might be based
on the previous Readers Participation
and if they for example made it into
the Most Popular Posts list.
(Also when you just look at
the Readers Participation itself,
for a second time, especially
with the passing of time
it might even give you some
New Insights and,
Inspiration for getting new ideas
to write about.)
Helping Your Readers
(Re) Discover Previous Posts
Also since you as a reader might
not always be frantically looking
through all of the many
previously written
Achived Posts that
you can discover on this blog...,
('Those Blogpost Gems
I was talking about,')
Also even when - you - don't want to
read them, when I do it, than at least
somebody reads them :)
(Btw. feel free to do some
Keyword Searches to look at some of
the Previously Published Content,
in the Blog's Archive yourself
when you like.
Or for example at any of the
previously published posts in
the Most Popular Posts list)
You Already Have Lot's
of Content In Your
Blog Archive:
When you write blogposts
you automatically build
up your own Blog Archive
of Content you can use to
write new posts about.
For example on this blog you can read
About things like Inspiration and
- developing and growing
writing ideas -.
You could also aready read
in previous posts about:
* how you can create an -
Inspiring Writer's Workspace -,
Or how you can have -
Inspiring
Writing Memobilia
- in your - workspace -
* and how (besides perhaps
Preparing Your Favorite Brew) blogging itself
can be a great way for -
Getting Inspiration & Developing Ideas -
As one of the many
way's that can help
Developing and Growing Ideas -
Blog Maintenance
Can Be Inspirational
And Can Get You Ideas for
Creating New Content:
A Blog is a great
For all kinds of Entrepreneurial Activities,
as you can read about in
Why You Want to Discover Blogging
as A Great - Platform - to Work From?
Also just your Blog Maintainance itself, besides little tweaks
like writing a better Sub-heading or doing actual repairs,
it can also give you actual new ideas for writing new blogposts.
For example when you wrote several new blogposts, and when they happen
to relate to previously written posts, for your Blog Maintenance
you might be wanting to update a previous post and - Write
about such a previous post - and that way re-purpose
some of it's content.
Being Able To Discover
New Angles To Write About Topics:
For example when I read back a few of my previous posts today,
I realised that scanning notes and maturing notes as you
can read about in
-Developing Ideas -
Looks like a somewhat similar proces as what I wrote about
in a book review from a book about
Interesting Insights About Organising
and realised that - Growing Writing Ideas -, and
Developing Writing Projects, has several similarities with
Developing and moving forward Projects in general.
Because of this, this posts is a great opportunity
to once again tell you about this Great Book
That can be very helpful.
You can also for example read
some of your Writer's Trade Magazines
and look if you can write about it from
a new newsworthy angle.
Keeping up with such Writer's Trade News
can also be helpful.
Looking Through Previous Posts
& Research Notes:
It also made me realise that I have a special
File with notes that I call my 'Thoughts Pile File' (TPF)
that I can use as a source of Inspiration for writing new posts.
Seeing in a note how also Positive Constrains can help
with getting inspiration, for example by promising yourself
to use a previous post as
Inspiration Sourcefor writing a new post. a post like
the one you just read for example.
